Cousin Cleotis Lyrics
There ain't no reason why not
Strike whilst the knives are hot
Eyes like a vision of rage
Seize the day, seize the moment
Yes this very moment
Cos the mountain of my anger, it ain't no longer dormant
And this feelin' ain't just a feelin' no more
Cos the frustration of my ignorant days, is just a haze
Like a red eyed glazed gaze
So don't just sit on your ass, dreamin' of the better day, better way
Liberate yourself, your mind, mankind
Take the feelin' that lies deep inside
And make it reality

this is REAL music...with REAL meanings...their music r soo fucking amazing..why arent ppl writing about them alll the timee?

i've always liked this song, but ive had difficulty understanding the lyrics. now i've found out the lyrics, i like it loads more!! yay capdown!!

capdown rock, i missed there last show at glasgow but next time they come to scotland i'll be there

wow, this song is definatley one of my favourites. i cant always understand what they are singing but the music says it all really.. im going to see them in birmingham in october :) xx

i love this song also. they live about a 20 minute walk from me and they have their logo written all over their front door :) great band!

"Huh huh huh huh Pick it up-ah! Whip it up-ah! Pick it up-ah! Take it away!" - The single best intro in any song EVER! Capdown rule arse and I'm gonna see them in November (they're coming to London; book through HotTickets.co.uk)! Rawk on!

Capdown have written many good songs and this is one of their best. I've seen them last year at birmingham, at Nottingham (Disortion Festival). All of these gigs have been some of the best I've been to. I'm also going to see them in Birmingham in October. (See you there Tanya_x!)

This song relates to Capdown's obsession with smoking weed. They are obviously trying to put across a message that positively represents the smoking cannabis image. However it seems to contradict the upbeat genre this song fits into. Playing Skacore is great but you do not need to "Liberate yourself, your mind, mankind" by smoking pot because it creates what Jake says: "the frustration of my ignorant days, is just a haze". Five Knuckle my preferred Ska-core band attack this song in their song called Sleep Easy which gives a more reflective representation to smoking pot.

ah five knuckle are also amazing seen them the singer is amazing and capdown still remain one of my favourite bamndscan'tr wait to see them again this year peace x

dunno blindman, i think you're seeing it in a bit of a narrow way - yeh, maybe capdown do agree with smoking cannabis, but the song on a wider level can simply be seen as a call to people to do what they want, to strive to acheive (dont just sit on your ass, dreaming of a better way)to be what they want to be. who knows - the song rules anyway.
