Colorful Lyrics
There will be no encore
And all the random hands that I have shook
Well, they're reaching for the door
I watch the backs as they leave single-file
You stood stubborn, cheering all the while
I know I can be grey
I know this loser's living fortunate
Cause I know you will love me either way
But you wouldn't pantomine
You are more beautiful when you awake
Than most are in a lifetime
Through the haze that is my memory
You stayed for drama though you paid for a comedy
I know I can be grey
I know this loser's living fortunate
Cause I know you will love me either way
We live in drama but we die in a comedy
I know I can be grey (my colors fade away)
I know this loser's living fortunate
Cause I know you will love me either way
this is a great song..a great thing to tell the people you love.. "You stayed for drama though you paid for a comedy"..that's a beautiful way of saying thanks..i love this song! could listen to it over and over...
yep, this is a great song! I love the moive "Rock Star"! The is one of the best songs from that moive...great movie, I reccomend you(whoever you may be..lol) to go rent it!
Well, I owe credit to the movie "Rock Star" for introducing me to this song! I had an inclination that was not Mark Whalberg's voice singing this song! The producers picked a perfect song to describe the relationship between Whalberg and Aniston's characters. Basically, I see it as a song about someone who loves another person through all the good and the bad. And this is a "thank you" song from the individual who was being loved so dearly, although he may not have deserved it, through thick and thin... or as this says, colorful and gray. Great song.
wow. first of all, the movie 'rockstar' is a truly amazing love story. heh. i gotta say it, and at then end, was it really not mark walhberg singing it? wow!
this is one of the most beautiful, heart-wrenching love songs i've ever heard.
'you are more beautiful when you awake then most are in a lifetime'. tell me that doesn't pull at your heart!
it describes my boy and i's relationship well. he's the only person in my life who's truly played out the line:
"i watch their backs as they leave single-file. you stood stubborn, cheering all the while."
i cry listening to this song. god, it's amazing.
this song is amazing..so beautiful,..Tear to me its about some one who has imperfections but knows his g/f will love him despite them..
ELS24, Just so you know, it's not Wahlberg who sings this song in real life. Chris Cole sings it in the movie, but it's actually the guy who plays Ricki (Blood Pollution Bassist) that is the lead vocal in The Verve Pipe.
I LOVE this song :)
There is something so enchanting about this song. It gives me a dose of reality and hope at the same time. The song has just enough optimism that it doesn't make you sick but you feel capable of actually being who you are in all of your ups and downs.
