What she said she said to me
Take me high on a mountain side
She was dressed up in leopard skin
And her soul would never be denied

I met her down the disco in a beat up car
She was burning down the road
She looked just like a star with a Jaguar
She needs to lighten her load

And when you might
Think you're gonna cry
It will be all right
Step out tonight

You might
Think you're gonna cry
It will be all right
Step out tonight

What I said I said to her
I'm alive when you walk that way
Can you hear what I can hear ?
It's the sound of a brand new day

She met me down a disco in a beat up car
I was burning down the road
I can be a star in a Jaguar
I need to lighten my load

Because you might
Think you're gonna cry
It will be all right
Step out tonight

You might
Think you're gonna cry
It will be all right
Step out tonight

My whole life still sinking in the water
I need a ship not your sweet lip tonight

You might
Think you're gonna cry
It will be all right
Step out tonight

You might
Think you're gonna cry
It will be all right
Step out tonight

And if you might
Think you're gonna cry
It will be all right
Step out tonight

And when you might
Think you're gonna cry
It will be all right
Step out tonight

Step out tonight
Step out tonight
Step out tonight
Step out tonight
Step out tonight
Step out tonight
Step out tonight
Step out tonight
Step out tonight
Step out tonight
Tonight tonight tonight
Tonight tonight tonight

"noel can always out sing liam" i dunno about that, its nice to listen to noels takes on songs but for me, especially at a gig, it has to be liams gravel voice belting out a classic rock an roll tune

this song is very easy to find. Its a b-side on dont look back in anger, plus is widely available on kazaa etc. It was originally planned to be on the album '(Whats the story) Morning Glory?', but as the song nicks a riff or something from a Stevie Wonder song it had to be dropped due to financial differences. Anyone remember the joke noel made saying 'it was gonna be on the album, but he could't approve the sleeve artwork' or something to that effect. Legendary.

Have both Noel's live on F2M and Liam's on DLBIA and I can say again... Noel can always out sing Liam. Noel's version is much much better

Great song, one of several class b sides Noel wrote. I haven't been able to get hold of a copy of it with Liam singing, but I think the song would suit his voice better. Noel's a great singer and he does his songs well, but Liam's got a great voice too, b*llocks to people saying he can't sing, he's one of the greatest.

Oasis was nothing before Noel, The Rain never made it until Noel took over and started writing the songs

Yeah, replace hey now with step out, and roll with it with rockin chair and you have a better morning glory in my opinion.

Not knocking roll with it, it's a great song.

Forget it, just realized you could add songs to an album. Thats a much better idea.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
