You can tell the world you never was my girl
You can burn my clothes up when I'm gone
You can tell your friends just what a fool I've been
And laugh and joke about me on the phone
You can tell my arms go back to the farm
You can tell my feet to hit the floor
Or you can tell my lips to tell my fingertips
They won't be reaching out for you no more

But don't tell my heart
My achy breaky heart
I just don't think he'd understand
And if you tell my heart
My achy breaky heart

He might blow up and kill this man
You can tell your Ma I moved to Arkansas
You can tell your dog to bite my leg
Or tell your brother Cliff whose fist can tell my lip
He never really liked me anyway
Or tell your Aunt Louise, tell anything you please
Myself already knows I'm not O.K.
Or you can tell my eyes to watch out for my mind
It might be walking out on me today

(Repeat chorus to end)

General CommentI was surprised by this. It seems that, during the warm-up show of 23 March 1993, he performed debuts of "Viva Las Vegas," "When You're Alone," and "This Hard Land." The most obscure of his debuts, however, was one, on this date, of Achy Breaky Heart.

General CommentThis is usually a good party song, probably a good concert song, so it wouldn't surprise me if you heard this at a Springsteen concert.

General CommentTwo musicians were in a third worlld country. Both were captured by the Junta and charged with spying, a capital offense. After a brief kangaroo trial, they were sentenced to death by firing squad.

On the way to the execution wall, the sargeant in charge of the squad, told both men that they could have one last request.

The first man said, "I'm a country music singer, and I'd like to hear 'Achy Breaky Heart' just couple of times that I could sing along with before I die."

The sargeant said that would be no problem, and turned to the other man. "What is your request?"

"I'm a jazz musician. Please, kill me now."
