hmmm not that I'm aware of... I heard it long back in the early 90's before Friends came out and I kept saying, "I know this song but I don't know who sings it".. then when the Friends theme came out I found it by accident by purchasing the wrong cd...shrugs
this song was stuck in my head and i couldn't think of title or artist; the refrain just looped in my head. quick search on letssingit.com and came up with Remb's (shock). thank fuck for bands who title their works appropriately.
This guy, who has been hurt before, finally is able to love someone again, and then she drops him cold (probably cheated on him). After a long time, she wants to come back to him, but he won't. It's not because he is still hurt, but just because time changed things. "You can't get back what you've erased."
That's just the way it is. That's what she told him, and not it's what he is telling her.
