Stop me from feeling
Stop me from feeling
Stop me from feeling the fear
Of falling in love
Take me from this place
From this awful space and shake me
I want you to shake me
'Til I'm done

I am done
Falling in love
Yeah falling in line
I am waiting on the staircase
Waiting for my time
Waiting for my time
I am done

What I need is completeness
What I need is neatness
I need a messy kind of make it up
As you go along
I need a silence full of nothing
I need to love
Without trying
Without trying to be loving

I am done
Falling in love
Yeah falling in line
I am waiting on the staircase
Waiting for my time
Waiting for my time
I am done
I am done
I am done

Dig a doo bop bop ...

I am done
Falling in love
Yeah falling in line
I am waiting on the staircase
Waiting for my time
Waiting for my time
I am done
I am done
I am done

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.
