I know you told me this before
I know you told me this a million times.
You say you don't know how you feel.
You don't know if you even love me anymore.
If she was a good kisser.
Then I'd know how much I'd miss her

January came. for April you have stayed
June I was in heaven
July was just the same
September rolled around
October wore a frown.
By Christmas we were through

I wish I didn't say I'm sorry
I wish you loved me still the same
I wish I wasn't such a wishy washy prick
I wish I said just how I felt
If I was a good listener
Maybe you would still be here

January came. for April you have stayed
June I was in heaven
July was just the same
September rolled around
October wore a frown.
By Christmas we were through

I still miss the way we touched
I miss the way you bite my tongue
I miss the way you run away
You run away

January February march April may.
June through December I wish you would stay
I know you're leaving me
January February march April may.
June through December I wish you would stay
I know you're leaving me

I know you told me this before
I know you told me this a million times.
You say you don't know how you feel.
When will you know just how you feel

January February march April may.
June through December I wish you would stay
I know you're leaving me (i know you're leaving me)
January February march April may.
June through December I wish you would stay
I know you're leaving me

commenting on the comment above me........good charlotte sucks, they are major sellouts. the only good song they ever did, they didnt even do it by themselves(The Innocent for all you fucking posers). I just noticed Benji was in it. Yea he makes it sound good..........no no no, he sure doesnt, the lead singer should have done it.

I think we should make a rule that anybody who is going to rant about punk puritanism is not allowed to post. I understand that we're all entitled to a certain amount of self-righteousness (as I'm indulging in right now) but just because somebody like Good Charlotte or Blink 182 or any one of those pop-punk bands doesn't mean they think they're the same kind of punk as the people who use safety pins to pierce their eyebrows in the dark! If they like music in spite of or because of the pop influence in it, good for them! You like hardcore, transparently, and nobody calls you fake for it, so fuck off! I know I'm raging now, but I've seen so much of this bullshit. Yes, Blink 182 and Green Day sold out a bit, but that works for them. They're mixing genres and putting a small portion of the blessing that is punk-rock in the lives of people who never even thought of it before. Punk rock does not belong exclusively to you. Anyone who discovers they like it ought to be welcome. Jesus Christ!

Mmhmm, right, LoserDork, calm down. o_o;; patpat I agree, that Blink and Green Day are completely different music genres than something like Goldfinger and Face to Face, despite the fact that they're both sorta punk-ish, but Blink is sooooo pop now, that they've also sorta betrayed what it means to be punk... Eh, well... yeah. =P

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
