Open Your Eyes

THis song is so deep really. Its not just about not eating animals, its about people being blind to eveything that people stand for. We're lied to everyday and made to think that things like killing and eating animals is right because we all do it. The veganism thing is just what they focused on. If animals started to eat humans and use their skin as coats, that would be considered a big deal, dont ya think?

i haven't been veggie for as long..in fact i'm new at it (2 months) but i love that bands are doing this cough silverchair too cough when i saw the video i thought it was really cool and then when i saw the poor piggy on the table and the vegan sticker on his guitar the band and video gained like 20 cool points, many more. i have so much respect for anyone whos a vegan cuz i realy wish i could do it but cheese pizza taste soooo good! lol. anyone bands like this kick ass cuz they're getting many ppl to look into what happens to animals before they reach your plates. i'm with gone punk 13, u all should really take the time to look up "factory farming" (and check out other great animal liberating song like 'spawn' by silverchair) ok i'm done proselytizing now

I think what rbf4 life said is right. This song isn't all about being vegan and animal cruelty, but about how people let advertisements shape some people's views. John kind of throws that vegan thing in there at the last minute with the "A shot to the head just so you can be fed" comment. Anyway, only half of the band is vegan(John & Brian)...Darrin and Kelly have Taco Bell listed as their favorite place to eat :)

This song is ok but the video is incredibly awsome. When the girl takes off her glasses and she looks like a slut I was like "hell yeah!"

i love goldfinger... but their views are farkin ridiculous. you do need to eat animals. you have the right to eat animals. they eat each other if they're higher on the food chain, and uh... we're higher than most animals. this song and fuck ted nugent are just retarded. well, as far as the message goes. that's if this song is even about animals. nobody knows for sure what a song's about except the person who wrote it.

i like the old goldfinger, but in a way, i think this is a kick ass song. its basically how society throws everything at you, tells you all the lies, making you believe things are a certain way... but in reality things are all fucked up and you need to open your eyes and see how things really are.
