I can't get enough of you, baby
I can't get enough of you, baby
Yes, it's true
Baby, yes, it's true

Whenever we kiss, I get a feeling like this
I get to wishin' that there were two of you
My heart cries out, more baby
It feels so nice
I want your arms to wrap around me twice

I can't get enough of you, baby
I can't get enough of you, baby
Right or wrong
Baby, right or wrong

When you had to go, I hated the thought
I only wish the night was twice as long
My heart cries out, more baby
I love you so much
I wish that there was more of you to touch

I can't get enough of you, baby (can't get enough of you, baby)
I can't get enough of you, baby, yeah

Whenever we kiss, I get a feeling like this
I get to wishing that were two of you
My heart cries out, more baby
I love you so much
I wish that there was more of you to touch

I can't get enough of you, baby (can't get enough of you, baby)
I can't get enough of you, baby (can't get enough of you, baby)
I can't get enough of you, baby (can't get enough of you, baby)
I can't get enough of you, baby (can't get enough of you, baby)
I can't get enough of you, baby

    LOL! Ummmm....no.

I am saying that Smash Mouth's version is an inferior COPY of the original version that The Colour Field did of this song. I know that ? and the Mysterians were the composers and first performers of this song. (Even if you know nothing more than "96 Tears," you can pick up on that fact. They are both so similar.) But if you listen to Smash Mouth's version, it is much closer to Colour Field's original version of this ARRANGEMENT of the song than it is to ? And The Mysterians' performance. And Smash Mouth's version is SOOO much more inferior to Color Field's in this respect. The originating performance by ? And The Mysterians is much thinner and the arrangement is not as close as Colour Field's and Smash Mouth's are to each other, so I was not using that as a basis for comparison.

Of course, Smash Mouth makes EVERYTHING they sing pretty much suck, so....

Seems we were both wrong. I had totally forgotten that the ? & The Mysterians was not the first version, nor were they the composers. To me, they had made it so much their own that I was thinking that it was their song. What I forgot was that the first version was by the Four Seasons, and is a Linzer/Randall composition. Then the Toys (the group responsible for A Lover's Concerto) with their version. The ? & The Mysterians version followed, then the Colour Field, then finally Smash Mouth totally ruined it.

This is also definitely one of my favorite songs. And I agree that most of Smash Mouth's songs are good. I don't get it, though - why are there so few comments on them, when much less popular bands have so many??

You folks are all talking about Smash Mouth's songs being so good, but this is not a Smash Mouth song -- they merely covered it. This was originally a song by a band called The Colour Field, and their original version is WAAAAAAAAYYYYYYY better than the crap version by these hacks.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
