he sits in an empty room and stares at the ceiling. outside the night time moves in circles and the trees shake. stars skip off the lake while the cars roll by in the slow lane. he's still wide awake. somebody save this boy. when all of the traffic in his head begins to slow down, all of his angry thoughts sink deep into the background. he's waiting for his spaceship to come down and take him away and teach him to fly high and far and land someplace safe. away from here. "would you bury me beneath the tallest tree so I might become something wonderful?"

General CommentThis one confuses me a little...
Sometimes I think that the guy Jeff's singing about is just a very disturbed guy.
Sometimes I think it's about a dream he had, or a dream someone is having.
Sometimes I actually think it's about someone mentally ill?
    Anywho, it's a beautiful song...awasome words...agree? :).
And regardless as to who this boy is, he feels that the only way he can become something good and meaningful is to be buried under something great, like a big tree. See? Yes :).
