CHORUS:
We're gonna light the weed
Tap the keg
Shoot the shit
Now lets begin
We're gonna kick right back
We're gonna sit right down
Enjoy it girl ya gonna love the sound...
DOUG:
Im holding but im bout to cop some more
I'm real high' cause I smoked a lot before
So What you stoppin for, keep passin' by
Smoke good weed, get a long lasting high
I know it might be right, I know it might be wrong
But If I'm gonna have a drink it might as well be strong
It's not the beginning and it's not the end
We gonna pass the shit around, you can hit it again
Let me be young, live life how I can
Don't get the wrong idea of what I actually am
Like a flash in the pan, so hold on tight
Catch little buzz and everything will be alright...
CHORUS:
once the beer starts flowin everything'll be fine
I'll be stuck up at the party, tryin to get mine
Left paw on wine, right margarita shakin
Tryin to concentrate but I'm straight space cakin'
Life is Erie like the lake and i be forgettin what I know
My girl told me to wait, but I had to come and go
Yo steady with the flow, palpitation precision
Glue my feet to the track, to properly ride the rhythym
Taking and I'm giving, living for today
Cause karma gonna get you in the long run anyway
And in the short from the sport I was straight Charles Bronson
In Houston with Allen, you was lickin Larry's johnson
CHORUS
KAZ:
Everybody raise your drinks to the sky
Mr. DJ, make ya sound amplify
Lovely ladies, get up don't be shy
And listen up, as I clarify
My mission, to why I'm spittin
Cause y'all be whinin' and bitchin' moanin' groanin' and dissin'
There ain't no hate in my crew
We just do what we do
We ain't stoppin we got plenty of trees and enough brew, so...
Everybody raise your drinks to the sky
Mr. DJ make yo sound amplify
Lovely ladies, get up don't be shy
Go for yours, don't be standin by...
CHORUS
(Let me be young, live life like i can-you gonna love the sound...)

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.
