Look, late night
I hit your phone and I be asking if you're alright
And what you up to? Wanna go for a drive?
I take you somewhere girl I ain't the usual type, you know
So, baby let me scoop you up
This coupe is known for Baby Making Woman love
I know a place that we can vibe turn that volume up
And you can laugh at me the way that I just dodged the fox
I think it's sweet you entertaining me
We'll take a drive this is London, many sights to see
And like the eye you been circling my mind
Got me thinking how our paths they been more than intertwined
All this passion ain't for fashion
I'm alive with you I feel it ain't no capping
And keep it ghetto that's an angel in stilettos
Diabetic from your vibe Cause it's sweet like amaretto
Look, It's a late night
We can stay up 'till the morning let the sun rise
We can laugh, make memories of those good times
Vibing to the twilight captivating moonlight
Let's take a walk around your block with your pedigrees
You got me heated doing work calculate degrees
That's the right angle watching how your hips travel
Nineties born I can tell the way the curls dangle
Tell me why you're so divine?
Let me park up the whip, baby you can drive
Hit the brakes, take a minute to adjust your chair
Put it into gear I'll show you how you shift and steer
It ain't summertime but still we exercise the night
You feeling chilly? throw my arms around you hold you tight
Let this heat inside show me you inspire life
And you the cosmic type energy excites your mind
Let me flow with you show me how the planets move
They aligning with our timing have you seen the moon?
I know you feel it too this energy is something new
Let my heart consume every little part of you
Look, It's a late night
We can stay up 'till the morning let the sun rise
We can laugh, make memories of those good times
Vibing to the twilight captivating moonlight
Look, It's a late night
We can stay up 'till the morning let the sun rise
We can laugh, make memories of those good times
Vibing to the twilight captivating moonlight

suicidemoon and rabbithowl are right. Here is the story:

"Deeply lost in the night. Just as one sometimes lowers one's head to reflect, thus to be utterly lost in the night. All around people are asleep. It's just play acting, an innocent self-deception, that they sleep in houses, in safe beds, under a safe roof, stretched out or curled up on mattresses, in sheets, under blankets; in reality they have flocked together as they had once upon a time and again later in a deserted region, a camp in the open, a countless number of men, an army, a people, under a cold sky on cold earth, collapsed where once they had stood, forehead pressed on the arm, face to the ground, breathing quietly. And you are watching, are one of the watchmen, you find the next one by brandishing a burning stick from the brushwood pile beside you. Why are you watching? Someone must watch, it is said. Someone must be there."

    excellent song.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."
