Sometime they say that love is blind
But I think that dumb is what they had in mind
I could let it go, but I'd rather know
If I sit around will another show

Sometime I get to fly so high
That the sun burns my wings but I will fly
Just a little too far 'cause that's where you are
And I won't bring you down, believe in me

Sometime I like to sit around
And just contemplating sitting 'round
I could lay in bed like my Momma said
"Don't just do something, sit around instead"

Sometime if I may say myself
I'm not bad at life, I'm not good as well
And though life goes on, I can plainly see
Just what is it for, if it's not for me

Sometime though it's a big surprise
I made compromise the thing I most desire
I can say with pride, hold my head up high
That I had a great idea but never mind

Nowhere
I'm going nowhere
Nowhere is where I wanna be
And I'm good for nothing, nothing is good enough for me
Anything, anything can come to anybody
Everything, everything can come to someone, sometime
Oh please
I'm good for nothing, nothing is good enough for me
Anything, anything can come to anybody
Everything, everything can come to someone, sometime

Sometime opportunity passes right by me
Didn't even slow
I can't breathe and think and I need a drink
All this common sense made a fool of me

Sometime I like to sit around
And just contemplating sitting 'round
I can lay in bed like my Momma said
"Don't just do something, sit around instead"

Sometime I like to fly so high
That the sun burns my wings but I will fly
Just a little too far, 'cause that's where you are
And I won't bring you down, believe in me

Sometime I get me all confused
And the reasons why, are confusing too
I could be with you, try to sort it out
If I tell the truth, I like to lie about

Sometime though it's a big surprise
I made compromise the thing I most desire
I can say with pride, hold my head up high
That I had a great idea but never mind

Sometime I like to sit around
And just contemplating sitting 'round
Although life goes on, I can plainly see
All this common sense made a fool of me

I don't want to live but I can't resist
I got some reasons and I've made amends
I'm gonna drown before my ship comes in
And I forgot to ring my Mum again
And life ain't good without cigarette

I think that dumb is what the had in mind. I won't bring you down, believe in me.

A song playing on words and expectations. I think it's about life being mediocre. Possibly about depression. Everything is just so lukewarm. Neither good nor bad.

Much different song than "On Fire".

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Page

There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
