"74/75" as written by and Timothy Harper David Connell....
Got no reason for comin' to me
And the rain runnin' down
There's no reason
And the same voice comin' to me like it's all slowin' down
And believe me

I was the one who let you know
I was your sorry ever after seventy-four, seventy-five

It's not easy
Nothin' to say 'cause it's already said
It's never easy
When I look on in your eyes then I find that I'll do fine
When I look on in your eyes then I'll do better

I was the one who let you know
I was your sorry ever after seventy-four, seventy-five
Givin' me more and I'll define
'Cause you're really only after seventy-four, seventy-five

Got no reason for comin' to me
And the rain runnin' down
There's no reason
When I look on in your eyes then I find that I'll do fine
When I look on in your eyes then I'll do better

I was the one who let you know
I was your sorry ever after seventy-four, seventy-five
Givin' me more and I'll define
'Cause you're really only after seventy-four, seventy-five

I was the one who let you know
I was your sorry ever after seventy-four, seventy-five
Givin' me more and I'll define
'Cause you're really only after seventy-four, seventy-five

Seventy-four, seventy-five

Seventy-four, seventy-five

Seventy-four, seventy-five

Song MeaningThis song is truly beutiful.

To me it about an old relationship (between 74-75) that didn't work out, but his love for this girl remained. It hurt for a long time. But eventually he got over the heartache and went on with his life, but she still would keep a place somewhere down there.

One day, out of the blue, he found her standing there on his doorstep in the rain, wishing him back into her life. He feels heartbroken and don't want to bring all them miserable memories back that she brings with her presence. He says to himself in his head "she's got no reason to bring all this up again. Why! I moved on!". But in his heart he knows he missed her so much, and after all this time...he is so happy to see her, to look into her eyes. But he really can't understand what she is doing there, cause he let her know very well how much she broke his heart back then, and that it would stick with him for life (I was the one that let you know. I was your sorry ever after 74/75). Everything's already been said, and he's not sure how to handle this situation. He so crawes her still, but can't find a way to forgive what happened.

All in all it's about a guys bittersweet everlasting love to a girl, a girl who ripped out his heart back in '74-'75 =(
