I think I've been wrong in this family affair
It's been too long that we got used
to everything unfair
I'm out there trying to put on the charms
But inside I'm crying
when I remember how you cut your arms

Here comes happiness for dogs like us
And I just hope its gonna last
The drugs they give you
are something I don't trust
At least when the side effects come fast
Just like in the past

Everyone is not stable
we all got our ups and downs
They gave you a label
and pills to make you drowse
I do not trust them coz I've seen you fall
what's there to discuss
when you almost lost the will to live at all

Here comes happiness for dogs like us
And I just hope its gonna last
The drugs they give you
are something I don't trust
At least when the side effects come fast
Just like in the past

Almost twenty years of fighting
for your health not too exiting
And I know there's so much more that I could do
But you just never give up,
hope that one day you will live up
And regain what belongs to nobody else but you

this song has a personal meaning for me the cutting you arms... the pills... the label... it's all been done to me but you can't change it...

I'm almost positive that this song is about the singers brother who is mentally disabled. He's been missing for like 20 some odd days at this point. They cancled there final leg of the U.S. Home From Home tour to go search for him in Sweden. It sucks.

Millencolin are one of my favourite bands. I think this song has a lot of depth and meaning, it must be about a friend, who was really ill, and about how he watched what they went through, and how hard, and how sad it was. It's a good song.

Must admit its only now that i read the lyrics that I fully understand wot this song is really about & I'm glad that I do now. I like a song with a proper meaning & the tune is fantastic - one of my very faves off the album.

It's clear to me that this song is obviously, as said before, about his brother or at least it seems clear to me that it is. For me, it has some other meaning, too. I really love how he sings about "when I remember how you cut your arms"... This is something I'm quite familiar with. for me it is also about someone who is really fucked up because on one side he takes drugs and on the other side he is really depressive and self-destructive, e.g. the cuts on the arm. It is also about the singer's knowledge that the person spoken about could be so much more than this if he or she just recovered again, both physically and psychically. And I think it really is this way: If you feel like shit all the time, and if you feel worthless, you can't be what you might be if you were 'healthy' and if you also take drugs it's a never-ending vicious circle. by the way, drugs could also be medicine given to you in case of depression, like anti-depressants such as Lithium.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.
