Peace? I hate the word.
As I hate hell, all Montagues.

I had a dream last night
'Cause it looked just like a dream
I had a dream last night
But it looked unlike a dream

Mercy, mercy, I'm made of parts
Make me a suit so I can get it off
Heaven help my head is spin'n round
Stop this airplane cause I got to get down

I had a dream last night, and it fit me like a glove
I had a dream last night, and it fit me like a glove
Here's to the Montagues, John Wayne, and Bette Davis
And Romeo, he waved before this chorus girl and beggars hair

Juliet is up in heaven, a pocket full of pills
And Jesus drives to Mexico, to get her prescription filled
I had a dream last night, and it fit me like a glove
I was a scream last night

It was getting kinda fun (yeah, rock out, whatever)
I had a dream last night, because she looked just like a dream
I had a dream last night, because she looked just like a dream
She was on fire last night, and I was breathing gasoline

I had a dream last night, and it fit me like a glove
I had to scream last night
Lord of Love
I didn't know where to shake my butt

Walked backwards, fucked like a fox
I was more fucked up than your sister's tackle box
Three a.m. at five o'clock
And one of us leaves, and I got shot!

Shot me down
Yeah, whatever, rock out
That's it, that's my rhyme, take it to the streets, biatch.

I just love the lines: 'Juliet is up in heaven, a pocket full of pills, And Jesus drives to Mexico, to get - HER -PRESECRIPTION - FILLED I HAD A DREAM LAST NIGHT' i put the last part in caps cause that's how i see it - he kind of snarls out the last part and it just knocks me down, every time.

Wow! I'm surprised no one put at least a comment for this one. I guess this song talks about dreams, and how weird they can be. It goes really well with the Romeo and Juliet Soundtrack though.

I love the whole Romeo and Juliet soundtrack, I've had the tape since I was little and I can never find the Cd. I guess the movie is too old. It's a really good song and I don't think it means anything, it just goes to the movie when Benvolio, Romeo and Mercutio fight.

I think "And Romeo, he waved before this chorus girl and beggars hair " is acctually "And Romeo ain't fit for a chorus girl in Vegas, yeah!" That make a hell of a lot more sense :)

Jesus! goodriddance! You make me feel old... "I've had the tape since I was little..." Damn... I saw it in the theater when it came out. I must have been 13 or 14? Anyway... Yes the CD does exist. I know because I own it. THere is also a second CD with more of the instrumental music and more lines from the movie.

I agree with sara_blue_shoes! Anyways, yeah, I've got both awesome cd's. A classic soundtrack. This song is addicting. I can't listen to it once, I end up listening to it a zillion times in a row, especially when I try to interperet it. I seriously want to know how they came up with this song! Dreams are crazy and totally odd at times, but some of this makes no sense...Why are John Wayne and Bette Davis Montagues as opposed to Capulets...I don't know. I think "juliet is up in heaven, pocket full of pills" portrays how emotionally crushed she was. Her parents were going to throw her this wedding, or disown her, and so she decided to "die" and then wakes up to Romeo committing suicide. So, if she had lived I guess she probably would have been somewhat a basket case. I don't know what the right lyrics are but I think dontpanic42 is probably right. The "official lyrics" up there can't be right. But I'll assume dontpanic42's lyrics are right so: Romeo and his cousins/friends are sort of a wild bunch as opposed to the more seemingly aristocratic image of his elder Montagues. So, maybe they mean he wouldn't be good even for some Vegas girl (no offense to Vegas girls), or something. What do YOU think????

based on the scene in the play before the Capulet ball when Romeo is talking to Mercutio and the others about a dream he had which made him feel that there's fate in the stars that will lead him to his "untimely death" in an event that would take place that night, and that event was meeting Juliet.
