Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve.
The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future.
Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere"
The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”
Little star, so you had to go.
You must have wanted him to know.
You must have wanted the world to know
Poor little thing.
Now they know.
Little star,
I had to close my eyes.
There was a fire at the warehouse.
They're always waiting for a thing like this.
Came driving from all over town,
For you, little star.
Little star, you, little star.
Little star
So you had to go
You must have wanted him to know
You must have wanted the world to know
Poor little thing
And now they know
Laudamus, adorramus te, Dominec.
Laudamusbenedicimus
Domine Deus.
Laudamusbenedicimus
Domine Deus.
Cum Sancto Spiritu, in gloria Dei Patris. For you, little star.
You must have wanted him to know.
You must have wanted the world to know
Poor little thing.
Now they know.
Little star,
I had to close my eyes.
There was a fire at the warehouse.
They're always waiting for a thing like this.
Came driving from all over town,
For you, little star.
Little star, you, little star.
Little star
So you had to go
You must have wanted him to know
You must have wanted the world to know
Poor little thing
And now they know
Laudamus, adorramus te, Dominec.
Laudamusbenedicimus
Domine Deus.
Laudamusbenedicimus
Domine Deus.
Cum Sancto Spiritu, in gloria Dei Patris. For you, little star.

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
The latin chorus is as follows...
Laudamus, Adoramus Te, Domine Laudamus, Benedicimus Domine Deus Laudamus, Benedicimus Domine Deus Cum Sancto Spiritu in gloria Dei Patris
It means...
We praise, we worship you, Lord We praise, we pray to you Lord God We praise, we pray to you Lord God With the Holy Spirit in the glory of God the Father
yeah screed is full of it. stina nordenstam is alive. check their other comments; it's all silly controversial stuff to get people riled up.
I take the Little Star for a candle, I always thought she was a little pyromaniac singing a love song to candle that was forgotten and got out of control. :)
maybe it's about a person who died? and they are in heaven?. .but lovely song
this is the prettiest song ever. her voice is so amazing
Really sweet song. Very Fragile in a way.
This song is about a suicide, the great intimate.org stina nordenstam site had some cool info...
I love the music in this song... even if the song is about something sad, I think it sounds so beautiful.
Where this says 'Wait or stay' ... I thought it was actually 'little star'?
I never realised what it was about before. It's so beautiful...
" Wait or stay So you had to go You must have wanted him to know You must have wanted the world to know.." I Love Herri
