The love that you had
In your heart is gone
Any touch of sincerity
Any trace of compassion

What hardened your heart?
What turned it to stone?
What made you forget?
You were in love with someone

Your hands don't reach out
Your voice doesn't call me
I know you've stopped listening
Your eyes look straight through me

If nights are like this
I'd rather be alone
Who said you could forget
You were in love with someone?

Tell me what hardened your heart
Tell me what turned it to stone
Tell me what made you forget
You were in love with someone

Was I wrong to forgive
Your indiscretions?
Should I have been more hysterical
Less understanding?

If you're looking for a villain
Go on assume the role
But don't say that it's my fault
That you're not in love with someone

Tell me what hardened your heart
Tell me what turned it to stone
Tell me what made you forget
You were in love with someone

Tell me there's someone in your life
I'll fight to keep your for my own
Tell me because I really want to know
Why you can't be in love with someone

I think this song is about her boyfriend falling out of love with her and that she can't believe it. We tell each other that we will love each other forever but this song is the reality that that never happens. Basically who ever this guy is, to her, he's forgotten about ever loving her and she's still with him If nights are like this I'd rather be alone This is a very moving song for me... I love this song

I can completely relate to this song. My ex boyfriend fits this song completely. We were together for about a year. In the beginning he was much more wrapped up in the relationship than I was. He was very sentimental, more than I ever was, would write me love poems and all the mushy crap. His friends said I had him "whipped" when in reality it was their jealousy and immaturity talking and the fact that they had no lives. Anyway, the relationship ended quite harshly and we hold extremely hostile feelings towards each other to this day. I can't believe that when I look at him now, he is the same person who used to write me poetry and the same guy who'd tell me he'd love me forever. He tries so hard to be this badass person I know he is not. People don't change, especially not that drastically. We were kids and it was each our first real love, so we didn't have much experience, but thats when it hurts the most.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
