Well I'm here
And summer is gone I hear
So pray for me
As I now leave your town

When did I say this
I will never leave
I can't recall this
Moment in my life

You would never sleep at night
If you knew what I've been through
And this thought is all I have
To trust upon when light is gone

My problem was
That you kept me here too long
And today is when
We'll regret that I came by

When did I say this
I will never leave
I can't recall this
Moment in my life

Life is full of darkness
And murderers come my way
Someday you will join them
And I will let you in

I have a differen't interpretation of the first verse. I read it like this:

When did I say this: "I will never leave" I can't recall this moment in my life

He(Jonas) is leaving, while someone is wanting him to stay. This person quotes him as saying he would never leave, but he argues that he never said "I will never leave".

In the next verse Jonas is essentially giving us(or the person) the reason for his departure, and it has to do with his troubled past. Maybe he feels he will only bring trouble if he stays.

The last verse is difficult to comprehend.

"Murderers come my way, someday you will join them"

Perhaps whatever Jonas did in the past caused a bounty to be placed on his head, and even the person who wants him to stay would kill him, if they knew what it was he did.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Head > Heels
Ed Sheeran
“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
