Without You Lyrics
but I'm looking forward to the sun
You have to feel the pain
when you lose the love you gave someone
I thought by now the time
would take away these lonely tears
I hope you're doing fine all alone,
but where do I go from here 'cause
And without you
I've lost my way
My heart's stuck
in second place ooh
Without you
lying here without you by my side
It seems unreal to me that
the life you promised was a lie
You made it look so easy
making love into memories
I guess you got what you wanted
but what about me 'cause
And without you
I've lost my way
My heart's stuck
in second place ooh
Without you
That I'm better off without you
'Cause baby I can't live
And without you
I've lost my way
My heart's stuck
in second place ooh
Without you...Without you

this song is about a gurl... n her Ex basically promised her this perfect life... n then he left her... n she cant get over him.. and shes like without you.. im not ok... with out you.. ive lost my way!! ... It's a grate song... and has alot of feeling in it!

Yeh such an emotional song! I particularily love the "Somebody tell my head to try to tell my heart That I'm better off without you "

When this song was released, I was in the middle of a bad break up, which almost word for word suits this song. I still feel the sting when I hear this song, even though it's been four years and now the guy and I have worked things out and are back together.

i think what coudl also be interpreted from "the life you promised was a lie" could be a family... because in the video they made the woman is pregnant heres the link if you want to watch it on youtube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gNyiwYwovKg&mode=related&search= well enjoy

i just realised that at the end of the video they say its dedicated to Jakson Miles Ezell oct 7-11 2000 kinda makes the sad a lot sadder... its one thing to lose a loved one, but a whole other thing to lose a child =[

if my memory serves me correctly, i believe that jackson miles ezel, to whom the video is dedicated, was the child of the pregnant woman in the video. the chicks thought about not releasing the video, out of respect, but the woman told them to do it, in her baby's honor... so beautiful!

Jackson Miles Ezell is the name of the baby in the lady of the video. I am friends of this family and very grateful to the Dixie Chicks for dedicating this video to him.

Given that he apparently lied about wanting a long-term relationship to get sex, you might be tempted to take "I hope you're doing fine all alone" as sarcastic. But the lyrics as a whole suggest she's still too in love for that.
