turn off the lights
so u can't see my eyes
my fingers are crossed
while i promise the world to you (to you)
and i feel like im walking on air
believing the lies when i thought that u cared

and i can tell that im falling in love with you
the bruises prove its real
and i can tell that im falling in love with you
the bruises prove its reeel

In your own pictures with smiles
The conviction in which
I'm a victim of love
you can't give to me
and u chase all the things u can't have
An eye on the diamonds
closed tight in your hand

and i can tell that im falling in love with you
the bruises prove its real
and i can tell that im falling in love with you
the bruises prove its reeeal

im loosing my head
you laugh instead
im loosing my head
you laugh instead

and i can tell that im falling in love with you
the bruises prove its real
and i can tell that im falling in love with you
the bruises prove its real
and i can tell that im falling in love with you
the bruises prove its real
and i can tell that im falling in love with you
the bruises prove its real
and i can tell that im falling in love with you
the bruises prove its reeeeeeeeeeeeeel

This is the absolute best Sugarcult song I have ever heard! They are the most awesome band I've ever come across! Go buy Start Static now!

It's not hard to see what this song is about, a guy can tell that he's falling in love with a girl :) It's a wonderful song :)

It sounds like a guy really likes this gurl, and he says everything to show her that he's falling in love with her but she doesn't see, blows it off, and laughs, thinking nothing of it and that hurts him..

    This songs is wonderful, too.

It's about loving someone and promising them everything becuase you think that it will win them over, when really everything that they have ever said to you indicating any sort of interest was a misunderstanding and a lie. It's about broken hearts.

    It's wonderful.

i think it's about a guy who's obsessed with a girl. she uses him because she knows he will do anything for her, and she flirts with him just to play with his head for fun. by doing this she "bruises" him.

This song is my exact emotions to a lover at camp. He's a guy that knew everything about me, but I didn't need to say a word to him about it. The fact that I've hit rock bottom is impacting me hard, I guess that's what happens when your long lost twin that your romantically inclined to be with is gay. I hate this world!!

This is the first Sugarcult song I heard, and I absolutely feel in love with it. I thinks it's really sweet, but at the same time disappointing. It seems like the guy is really falling for a girl, but she plays mind games, which only results in hurting him, but him still loving her even more. He tries to be serious with her, but she just laughs in his face and blows him off pretending not to care. Hmm...

as for me -- i think of falling in love like falling down the stairs. i'm pretty sure that's not right, but it gives the song a whole different perspective.

    do you bruise easy??

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.
