There are few things pure in this world anymore,
And home is one of the few.
We'd have a drink outside,
Maybe run and hide if we saw a couple men in blue.

To me it's so damn easy to see
That true people are the people at home.
Well, I've been away but now I'm back today,
And there ain't a place I'd rather go.

I feel home,
When I see the faces that remember my own.
I feel home,
When I'm chillin outside with the people I know.

I feel home,
And that's just what I feel.
Home is reality,
And all I need is something real.

Feelin alright, headin out tonight,
Maybe out to a dark driveway.
I say now some feel bored,
And some are lookin for more.

Well, we all just decide to stay.
We got nothin to do,
And I look at you
I see something that I know and love.

And with the crack of a smile we all stay a while
We know from home there ain't nothing above.
Well in the end we can all call a friend
Well that's something I know as true.

And then a thousand years and a thousand tears
I come to findingin(something's wrong here) my original crew
'Cause to me throughout eternity
There's somewhere where you're welcome to go

I said it's something free that means a lot to me
When I'm with my friends I feel home.
I feel home,
When I see the faces I remember my own

I feel home,
When I'm chillin outside with the people I know.
I feel home,
And that's just what I feel.

Home is reality,
And all I need something real
Home is reality,
And all I need something real
I feel home.

i was driving home from the beach packed in a car with a bunch of my best friends and this song came on and all of us just got quiet and teary-eyed. we all new that no matter how much things change after high school we always have each other to come home to.

Every time I come home from college and meet up with my best friends it remides me of this song. Because no matter how boring your town is, theres no place like home. That goes out to all the people in the Wood.

i totally agree with boggles. no matter how great your college friends are, your friends at home are where you feel like you belong.

This song means so much to me, because my best friend and I listen to OAR and so do some of our other friends, and since I've moved so that I can't see everyone all the time anymore, this song definatly brings back my Jax memories and brings me back to happiness. It's such an awesome song, but then again all the OAR songs are!

i never really liked this song when i first picked up any time now. but then went i went off to college i realized how much i took for granted about everything back home. the lyrics describe home perfectly. oar has managed to capture the essence of the comforts of home with this song

such a sick song...question..in the lines "In a thousand years, and a thousand tears, I'll come finding my original crew" i often see them as "ill confind in my original crew" does anyone know what they REALLY are..it bugs me...well anyways, sick sick song..as all of oar's are. bye!

here's my schpiel: i go university of wisconsin-madison, place where bands like OAR are loved and respected. i love living in madison so much, i miss my boyfriend, my friends, and the overall chill vibe of the place. technically, i call hawaii 'home' seeing as i was raised here and my parents live here, but being here for an entire summer is making me crazy, i've been ready to go back to madison for awhile now. and because OAR is virtually unknown here, i havent been listening to them much. but i just started listening to them again recently, and this song has made me appreciate being home for the summer. especially since its hawaii.

I go to schoolin Texas now, having grown up right outside of where O.AR. is from, I completely understand this song. Most people down here have never heard of them before, but I'm dragging them all to the concert 4-19 in Dallas. I've got great college friends, but "In a thousand years, and a thousand tears, I'll come finding my original crew " so true

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
