I danced for a while
And my moves would make you smile
Oh, I loved you then
My dear chemical lover

You veiled me in your haze
Like a puppet in your lace
Amazing disgrace
From your silverspoon substance

You took me away
Amde Monday a Saturday
You stained me with love
And left me in dirty laundry
But I left my ground for a minute

Your body in my veins
Your power is what remains
You know I never had
Such a bad, bad comedown

You took me away
Made Monday a Saturday
You stained me with love
And left me in dirty laundry
But I left my ground for a minute

My, oh my
You took pride in my fuck-up

I've been cursed
And I've been hailed
I have blown it
And I've inhaled
But I never had
Such a bad, bad comedown
Such a bad, bad comedown
Such a bad, bad comedown

    Song Meaning
Fuck, even on A Camp lyrics there are these stupid people that think the song is about drugs... "my dear chemical lover" - I's just how the singer elaborates on how she loved (actually still loves) that person. The singer is Nina Persson, and she looks to be very smart (kind of obvious with her lyrics, since Emmerdale!), and the scientists know love (and all other emotions) are caused by chemical (brain cathexes). Love is comparable to drugs because we feel satisfied when we get it: we alleviate a tension of wanting love (or the good feeling of it, good feeling of drugs - lol, I never did drugs but just saying...) but then the tension will start again on our brains and we have to make our cells calm again. Another example is the relation of satisfaction of hungry and eating food, etc, basically our brains function like that, it's the pleasure principle, not drugs. Making "monday a saturday" - The person makes the singer so happy it turns even the most demotivating days such as Mondays (start of the week, of the job, etc, of most people). This song is beautiful... Unique sound of cellos... *___* It's about missing someone. :(

    My Interpretation
Apparently the song goes without saying that she's singing about "her drug of choice." You know, people who are addicted to drugs look at their drug as their main love in life. While it lasts that is...
