Hello, good morning, how you do?
What makes your rising sun so new?
I could use a fresh beginning too
All of my regrets are nothing new
So this is the way that I say I need you
This is the way, this is the way that

I'm Learning to breathe
I'm learning to crawl
I'm finding that you and you alone can break my fall
I'm living again, awake and alive
I'm dying to breathe in these abundant skies

Hello, good morning, how you been?
Yesterday left my head kicked in
I never, never thought that
I would fall like that
Never knew that I could hurt this bad

I'm learning to breathe
I'm learning to crawl
I'm finding that you and you alone can break my fall
I'm living again, awake and alive
I'm dying to breathe in these abundant skies, these abundant skies [

So this is the way that I say I need you
This is the way that I say I love you
This is the way that I say I'm yours
This is the way, this is the way that

I'm learning to breathe
I'm learning to crawl
I'm finding that you and you alone can break my fall
I'm living again, awake and alive
I'm dying to breathe in these abundant skies
I'm dying to breathe in these abundant skies

This song is about a new Christian realizing he wrongs and his need to start over. "I'm learning that you and you alone can break my fall" refers to God. "This is the way that I say I'm yours" refers to submitting to the will of God. This is an awesome song about submitting yourself daily to the will of the Lord.

Sappy Teenager Meaning of The Song...Just my own way of Looking at it..On a different level of thinking

These Lyrics Explain the way I feel about Myself and the person in my Life and The Way I feel...so This is what I take from the Song...It's about a Guy who Kinda has an Pessimistic Outlook, Almost a Depressive person..And There is a girl in his Life..This Girl on The otherhand finds Beauty in everything, Never Regrets a single moment..cause he asks "Hello, Good Morning, How do you do? What Makes your Rising Sun so New?" And he's starting to Realize How Great she is and How much she is showing him, as in The Appreciation of Life. "Learning to breathe I'm learning to crawl I'm finding that you and you alone can break my fall I'm living again, awake and alive"

This song could be about one of two things, falling in love or coming to know God. This person is humbling themselves and giving all of themselves to the other person or God whatever the case may be. They had lived their lives being independent and never realizing that they needed anyone but when they find that person they see a whole new world. They never really felt alive until they reached this point in their lives and now they are realizing everything that they had been missing.

Switchfoot Quotes on "Learning to Breathe" "It's about motion - moving from one place to another. Mainly the fact that we are one thing now, but God is calling us to be, you know He is changing us, He is transforming us into something new. He is changing us from a fallen world to a redeemed world that God is bringing about on this planet. And just kind of the motion that happens there. And just the call that each of us as a Christian has for that to what God is doing all around us. "

This song is so great to me. I think that the song is about someone who has been put down and kicked around by someone that they really thought cared about them and they are finally realizing that they need someone else to help them, to keep them from drowning. This person is teaching themself to do everything over again i.e."I'm learning to breathe". They're still getting over the shock of how hurt they could really be, but they're ready to love again, something that they have't been able to do in a long time.

Jesterguy took the words right out of my mouth. The song is about a new Christian, who has regrets from past sins and a living a worldly life. This person has realized that we can be made new and have salvation through the sacrifice of Jesus.

This song, what I think, is about this person who gets in so many disagreements and fights with another person. And they're trying to say that they don't do it out to purposelly hurt the other person, but rather, it's like they're saying, "Hey, I need you to be there for me." Because they're "learning to breathe..." and everything.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
