Believe In Nothing Lyrics

Into a strange new world, into the after
All your tears might find you've fallen too far
Take another look,take another ride
Can't we make them leave the hate behind

And I still believe in nothing
Will we ever see the shape of tomorrow?

Into the empty storm, into the formless loss of hope,
Where we can forget the game

And I still believe in nothing
Will we ever see the cure for our sorrow

Nothing is sacred when no one is saved
Nothing's forever so count your days
Nothing is final and no one is real
Pray for tomorrow and find you're empty still

Great song! I see the line "Nothing is sacred when noone is saved" as a doubt in a god. If there's a god, why does he/her let all the bad things on this third stone happen?

Blackened: apparently Warrel Dane is agnostic.

Agnostic is code for atheist. Faith is a yes or no proposition, you either believe or you don't and there is no middle ground.

Not Valid

this song is about not trusting anything becauseof the fear of disappointment and broken dreams. leaning on a crutch that you cannot see may indeed be nonexistent. and he is afraid of the fall.

The lyrics kinda remind me of John Lennon's "Imagine."

Uhh... SwornToTheBlack is basically right except he misses the keyword: religion.

Nevermore is a very atheistic band (which is great, heh) and the crutch SwornToTheBlack mentions is religion. A lot of Nevermore's songs share this theme.
