"C.p.k." as written by and Scott Douglas Victor/brewer Russo....
I remember the way when we used to play
All our troubles seemed so far away, yeah
That was when I lived from day to day
Do you remember the times
When all on our minds
Was having fun
And catching a buzz
That was life for you and for me

[Chorus: ]
Whoah, oh, oh I want it back
Whoah oh oh I want it back, now
I've got my life to live

Looking back now at all of my friends
And asking myself why these times had to end
Well, I'm older now than I was then
And it makes no sense to try and deny it
There's no use to try and defy it
That's the way life goes for you and for me

[Chorus: ]

Whoah, oh, oh I want it back
Whoah, oh, oh I want it back, now
I've got my life to live
Right now, right now, right now

General CommentCome on... No comments. Well I have to say that this song goes off. It always makes me want to just jump around the room. I always get right into this song. It's very uplifting. I think it's a song about growing up and wanting all those good things you had before back cause being an adult is too hard. And being a kid is so much fun.

General Commentthis song hit home when i was graduating from high school. looking back on all the fun times and friends, i knew everything would change as people moved away and whatnot. it just makes you long for the days of your youth when your only responsibility was to have fun and be a kid. i wish i knew how good i had it back then

General CommentC.P.K. (Crazy Poway Kids) was the name of a gang some bored white Poway kids formed as a joke at Abraxas high school in the late 80's. The song itself is not about C.P.K. the gang, they just used that as the title. The meaning of the song is pretty self explanatory. When we are kids most of us don't recognize how easy life is. We constantly dream of the day we turn 18 and can move out and be "free." We waste a lot of energy trying to act older by doing adult things. But when we grow up and move out on our own we finally realize that "the grass IS always greener," and life is no longer the holiday it once was. We never really understand how good we have it, until it's too late. It's a cycle that will keep repeating itself for the rest of our lives. We can always try to live in the past but the important thing is the life we live now. "Right now."
