A day not to forget
The machine has collapsed under the program it's been given
Look inside the broken shell
Look inside the broken shell
To see the broken heart
They can't believe the machine was alive but we saw it bleed
We saw it bleed
We saw it bleed
We saw it bleed
We saw it bleed

We saw it bleed
We saw it bleed
We saw it bleed
We saw it bleed

The machine it falls apart and when it's cut it bleed
The machine bleeds
The machine bleeds
The machine bleeds
The machine bleeds
The machine bleeds
The machine bleeds
She was alive

it's about a porn star named savannah who got in a car wreck and scarred her face and then killed herself because her career was over.

you know what i love about dan's lyrics (and what i try to emulate when i write my own stuff" is that he arranges the words in such a way that they have a set meaning, but they're still open to other people's interpretations.

You know they are a Christian band right? I'm not too sure if you have the song meaning right...do you have the interview or does anyone have it? Post it, I want to read it.

Yes, everybody knows that they are a band, and that they are christians. Just because they're a Christian band doesn't mean they preach in every song. That would just be annoying. Are you saying christians don't view porn? God knows I do

umm, you guys are both wrong. Yes, they are a christian band, no, this song doesn't mean they're into porn, although it is possible that members of the band struggle with that area of sin, a lot of guys do. AnimalsCage, I'd like to point out that they're not IN THE CHRISTIAN MUSIC INDUSTRY anymore because when they came out with Liberate, stupid people like you were pharisees and said that they weren't "christian enough" because of their image. Straighten out, buddy. They were singing about the things that the world does to people, and how being a porn star left her empty and unfulfilled "look inside the broken shell to see the broken heart" that's the real point here. Don't act like just because they're christian they're going to sing happy things or sponsor a "prayer of jabez" compilation cd

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
