Ordinary Lyrics
Only the best,
A life extrordinairy.
But you're so scared,
You push you're doubts on me.
You put me down,
You call me ordinary.
Ya critisize everything I do.
Though I may fail,
Well at least I tried.
That's more than I can say for you,
Always ordinary!
I don't care what ya think,
I'm not ordinary.
That's what you say to me.
It's good advice,
You're looking out for me.
I'm not ordinary,
I'm not like anyone else.
I'll do what I want,
I'll get what I need,
I can take care of myself!
Ya critisize everything I do.
Though I may fail,
Well at least I tried.
That's more than I can say for you,
Always ordinary!
I don't care what ya think,
I'm not ordinary.

Id have to say that this is one of my favorite Antifreeze songs. It's awesome

this is the only antifreeze i've heard so far, but it's become a sort of mantra of mine. whenever i'm feeling down or mad i just remember that there's no point living life if you don't experience everything. i'm not ordinary, and that rules! anyways, that's what i think...

This song is so good its great if you're down. Antifreeze is the best. They're wise beyond their years.

I can't help myself from listening to this song over and over again. Magdalena said it, this is good when you're feeling down, and the young group is truly wise beyond their years! Lyrics rock!

This is a good song. The video isn't that good, but I still dig this song. "I'm not ordinary." What a line.....

Song about conformity. Antifreeze's best song in my opinion, I like the way the two singers each have their own bits. Good song.

To me it looks like a song to his parents, or his Dad. It's like, his parents want the best for him and they don't think that being in a band is it, but he knows what's best for him... "Too scared to take a chance yourself", i.e. being in the band and taking that up as his career and then "You know what's best, that's what you say to me, it's good advice, you're looking out for me." - his parents are telling them that, but he can make up his own mind and make his own decisions. "Though I may fail, well at least I tried". - going out into the world being in the band. The main lines: "I don't care what ya think, I'm not ordinary". - His parents say he's not anything special and he can't be a rock star. I'm 99.9% certain this song is about that, because when I saw them live, the blonde guy on bass said "Who doesn't like their parents!?". Antifreeze are really nice guys. Got to see them with The Ataris in London... this is probably their best song.

Went to see Antifreeze and the Slick Shoes a few months ago, met them, great guys. You couldn't find nicer people in a band. This song is about conformity.
