I was falling always
and now i'm falling this way
what will become of me?
when i'm all far away

i'm spinning down
i'm spinning up
upon this way
wondering what will become of me
when i'm all far away

i'm spinning down
i'm all away
a greater way

what will become of me

General CommentI like Pantala Naga Pampa and everything, but I really like this song better. But, what would be really good, was if they combined PNP and WWBOF into one super song. I know that will never happen.:)

General CommentI believe that this song is usually played as an outro to Jimi Thing (as it is on Luther College). Regardless of when its played though, WWBOM is a beautiful song and the lyrics question our individual self and our place the world surrounding us - a recurring theme in many DMB songs.

General CommentIf anyone went to the July 23rd show at the Tweeter Center, do you know if Dave played this? I couldnt quite understand what he was saying, but my friend told me that it was only a song he usually plays during sound check.

General CommentDave is always dwelling on the process of salvation.

the most important question all men ask themselves is what will become of me "after death"?. salvation is a process that delivers us through death unto another kind of existence with God.

" falling" always implies climbing something. since man was created spirit he then "fell down" the mountain of God into this unclean physical world. the idea also is described by climbing and falling off the "ladder of jacob". another idea of climbing up and down between heaven and earth.

Dave expresses himself as climbing forward and falling backwards within this process of salvation...of course the question of what will become of him..well he knows..he returns back to his spirit beginning when he was first created perfect. when death didnt exist.

its called the law of circularity.
to know the end of a thing. you must first know its beginning. in this case ts the same. the ending is the begnning. an absolute state of perfection.

this song ties into "dont burn the pig".. this is a complex question imagining what if there is no death?

then there would be no burning of the pig.

to burn the pig. it must first die. we could say that all impure or unholy men outside the OT jewish religion are considered "pigs". (then and now)
in daves mind..when everyone is eventually saved..when they enter through the "Big Door"

then the "pigs" do not die, nor are they burned.

they are loved by God..didnt God call pigs "good"?
