Sea Foam Green Lyrics
I drove myself insane. No small getaway
Asleep with both hands on the wheel
White knuckle weekend
Chewing ephedrine
Going to an unnamed end
Unending...
We met in rain, you asked me in
Seemed like a good sign
Now I need a guillotine
To get you off my mind
I brush my teeth until they break
Until I start bleeding
So when I smile I'll know
I'm almost good enough for you
And would you...
Follow me to the end of the dare
Raise your eyes, return the stare
Become your words
Your words so becoming
On any Sunday I'll be there
I tried to drink you off my mind
I just got waisted
It only made the pain that much more acute
But cute
Isn't stong enough a word
Unintentionally gorgeous
An accidental charm
A graceful drinking arm
Disarming...

In Blake's own words (roughly equivalent): "This is a song about a girl, a car, a far-away continent, and, a bunch of... shit. This is a song about a whole bunch of shit."

"but cute isnt strong enough a word, unintentionally gorgeous."
sigh

One of my favorite Jawbreaker songs.

"now i need a guillotine to get you off my mind"
top that. anyone. anyone? i didn't think so. you can't.

I think he tops himself when he says "An accidental charm / A graceful drinking arm."

"I brush my teeth until they break Until I start bleeding So when I smile I'll know I'm almost good enough for you"
Its hard not to relate to that. This song is the perfect means of expressing extreme interest in a person.

This is probably my favorite Jawbreaker song. I can relate to it soooo much right now. "Sluttering," too.

I fucking love how everything is taken to the extreme in this song. It just fits so perfectly.
Not a song to listen to if you are in a good mood though.

Find better written lyrics, you can't.

I think this song hits hard. From what I can gather in my mind. It's about meeting someone that you would do anything for. Hence the traveling 10,000 miles. Then they pay no attention to you and it drives you insane all this work you are doing to prove yourself just to have the person turn away.
