    MemoryA couple of years after my dad bought the Brothers in Arms LP, he did me a cassette copy for my Sony Walkman! I was only about 8 then but this is an album that has stuck with me and is still among my top 10 albums of all time 21 years later.

    There are lines in this song that give me that 'choked up' feeling every time I listen to it.

    General CommentI love this song. Out of interest, people should, if possible, listen to the version of this song by The Everly Brothers. It is available on their Heartaches And Harmonies collection, and, plenty of downloading programs, although now they've been crapped upon - pardon my language - It's probably worth checking the Everly's version on CD or tape.

    General CommentThis song has quickly become one of my all-time favorites, although it's the kind that you can't just share everyone. You can't cheapen this kind of beauty; this is like a poem. It sounded like a nursery song being sung to a babe, before I even looked at the lyrics. Silly though it seems, it takes me back to my young childhood. For some reason, it reminds me of the cartoon movie Robin Hood, when they're all sitting in jail...

    So why worry now...

    usually knopfler's lyrics are not that obvious, and that makes them amazing. but even with simple, light songs, he shows he can write beautiful lyrics
