Alberta Lyrics
Where you been so long?
Alberta, Alberta,
Where you been so long?
Ain't had no loving
Since you've been gone.
Where'd you stay last night?
Alberta, Alberta
Where'd you stay last night?
Come home this morning,
Clothes don't fit you right
Girl, you're on my mind.
Alberta, Alberta,
Girl, you're on my mind.
Ain't had no loving
Such a great long time.
Where you been so long?
Alberta, Alberta,
Where you been so long?
Ain't had no loving
Since you've been gone.
i dont like this one that much
Does this song have to do with the actual place or a girl freind? Because i am not sure.
This has less to do with "SongMeanings.net", and more to do with feeling the pure and true blues that EC emits.
has anyone here seen Eric Clapton's MTV Unplugged 1992 version? is you havent I recomend you buy it and watch it, its worth every penny
this song is simply amazing.. one of my favorites
Haha, I was listening to my iPod and the random playlist had about 4500 songs in it. This version of "Alberta" (apparently it is a traditiional, and Doc Watson did a popular version) by Eric Clapton was followed by "Alberta #2" by Bob Dylan, from Self-Portrait.
This set of lyrics is pretty good. His girl leaves and returns either pregnant or otherwise significantly changed. She either leaves again, or it doesn't matter that she left because everything has been changed. Old blues songs are great about getting across a lot of information with very few words.
