Ow
Ooh yeah
Oh
I never needed love before
Till I met you girl
A girl like you I have never seen
You came into my life like a whirlwind girl
You let me know what lovin' really means

Lady strange, oh lady strange I want you
Lady strange, oh lady strange I need you

You got me where you want me girl
So no messin' around
You know I never played that hard to please
I've been here many times before
And walked this sacred ground
But this time you got me on my knees
You got me

Lady strange, oh lady strange I want you
Lady strange, oh lady strange I need you
Lady strange, oh lady strange I want you
Lady strange, oh lady strange I want you
I need you

Oh you're so strange
Oh oh oh
Taking love from you's like taking candy from a baby
But lady strange there is no stranger lady
No
Just you and me we make love, good love
So let me know what lovin' really means
Woman please

Lady strange, oh lady strange I want you
Lady strange, oh lady strange I need you

I need you
I want you
Yeah

This song isn't about a strange lady it is about something known as Strange. As in Strange Pussy. It is about how a guy will find the unknown so much more interesting then his everyday girlfriend. It is about being drawn to what isn't home waiting in your bed for you.

I like what mrobvious posted. That makes good sense, and I never thought of that. It could also be about a player who has had many women, and just used them for carnal thrills, but then meets one who unexpectedly snatches his heart , and makes him fall in love. This is strange to him , and so she is strange to him, thus he dubs her Lady Strange. He states " taking love from you is like taking candy from a baby" . That's because he feels guilty about hurting her and then moving on, like he has done with other girls many times before. He wants her as a keeper, this is new to him. Lady Strange there is no stranger lady. One who's feelings he actually cares about. A good song to put back to back with it would be The Raspberry 's ( GO ALL THE WAY) , it addresses the same subject matter, but less cryptically. Both songs rock.

    My Interpretation

This song is about a prostitute. His first time w someone that knows what she's doing, maybe someone paid her for him for his bday or something, "she came in to his life like a whirlwind" then "taking love from u is like taking candy from a baby" that means she's easy AF. He calls her lady strange cause she's nameless faceless whore. He's had other "girls" that don't know shit, he's w this woman who knows how to please a man. Lol that's what I think it means

Always thought this was one of the most brutal songs Def Leppard ever made. Fell in love it with the first time I heard it on High n dry. Im still not entirely sure what this song is about.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
