Keep my pair of senses,
Out of where it isn't clear,
Kept his false creation,
Teach on my own faith

Right, I'll wreck this, too
But you made my day
I'll fail you, too
Speak through this voice, and
We can have life to take
To mend these ways
We don't need tradition
This will wreck out mission

This isn't eve clear
It doesn't tell the why
This is an incomplete
It doesn't tell the why

Even if I was all knowing
Wouldn't it mean that I loved you?
See you move against ignorance
Why not try and get in

Set out a boom and line,
what have scholars caught
Look to yourself to find a God,
No, a lie, and
We can have life to take,
to mend these ways
We don't need tradition,
this will wreck out mission

This isn't even clear
It doesn't tell the why

General Commenti think this song is sumthin about skeptisism (if i spelt that rite) of the bible...cuz where it says "this isnt even doesnt tell the why..this is an incomplete.." i think that is sayin sumthin about the bible. and where it says "even i was all knowning, wouldnt it mean that i love u?" its maybe saying sumthing about understanding the bible..and does that automatically mean u love god? i dont know just a few thoughts.

General CommentThe most powerful words in the piece:
"And even if I was all-knowing,
Wouldnt it mean that I loved you?
I see you move against ignorance,
Why not try and get in?"

If he is referring to God, I believe it means that no matter what he does to accept or deny him, no matter how much information he gathers, in the end, he would love him all the same because nothing can explain "the incomplete" or "the why"
When he sees God move against ignorance, he is basically asking him to come inside of him and reveal all, hence the "why not try and get in?"
    That is my personal interpretation.

General Commentwhile id agree with redline...i think this song is about ppl telling him what to believe and what not to believe...when the only thing somebody can believe is whats in their heart...or u know...somethin like that

General CommentI think the reason there are so many skeptics is because of the one question the bible fails to answer. It gives us the who, what, when and where but "doesn't tell the why".

General CommentI don't think this song is about the the why in the bible because the bible gives a clear message of why everything happened the way it did. I think this song mostly is about what's being taught to everyone like evolution.
