He's stupid
I'm smarting
He's stupid
I'm smarting

I want my baby
Where is the baby?
I want my baby
Who took my baby?

Rose white, rose red
Rose up in my head
Rose white, rose red

Yeah yeah
I want some
Yeah yeah
There is none

I want my baby
Where is the baby?
I want my baby
There is a baby

There is no milk
There is no milk
There is no milk
There is no milk

Rose white, rose red
Rose up in my head
Rose white, rose red

Aww
Aww
She lost all her innocence
Gave it to an abscess
She lost all her innocence
She said, I am not a feminist

It's not yours fuck you

There is no milk
There is no milk
There is no milk
There is no milk
There is no milk

This song was not written about Frances Bean being taken away from Courtney. It was co-written by Kat Bjelland of Babes In Toyland, back in the late 80's before CLove even met Kurt. Even look in the booklet of 'Live Through This'

get over it ppl courtney didnt kill kurt maybe u guyz should read heavier than heaven even krist said that kurt got her on drugs face it ppl he's gone sad but true hes gone and just for the record kurt literally had suicide genes in his family.......so family history of suicide, junkie who hates fame yet no one thinks its possible that he did kill himself esp. since some of HIS friends went to his house to check on him and they seen sum one in the house the green house i guess read the book and maybe stupid assholes will quit blaming courtney for his death just becuz a woman is loud and loves fame doesnt mean she would kill the father of her child

People really need to stop hating on Courtney. Kurt didn't write her music. She had an album already out before they were even together. If he did, all of her songs would sound exactly the same, you know how Nirvana's does. Everyone wants to put her down for using meanwhile Kurt did the same exact thing. He was worse, actually. It kills me that people cut up on her constantly when in reality Kurt was way worse.

This song is proof of that. Courtney wanted her baby back. She wanted to quit so she could get Frances back. But Kurt kept using. He wanted nothing but to use all the time.

She was the one to take care of him. So if it wasn't for Courtney, Kurt could have been dead before he ended up killing himself.

If people didn't hate on Courtney Love as much as they do, I wouldn't hate Kurt.

They say she's psychotic and needs help, but thats now. Back in the 90's even or if she was at her fame 40 years ago, her behavior would be normal. It's disgusting how watered down music is nowadays.

This song was written when she Courtney got Frances took away from her because her and Kurt where using heroin.I think the part "i want some, yeah yeah, there is none" is talking about wanting more drugs, but she knows that if she wants her baby back she cant have any. Courtz is so cool!

I dont know about that VelveteenDoll, Courtney's biography indicated that this song dated at the time of Frances being taken away. You would have to agree with that judging by the lyrics. If it was written in the 80s, Courtney must be psychic! Also, I doubt Kat Bjelland wrote this as it sounds very 'Courtney' - talking about roses, milk, etc - Courtney mentions that a lot in Live Through This songs...

i used to think (from reading the lyrics to Malibu, even though i love that song) that courtney couldn't write. but i was so wrong! i started listening to moer of her stuff, and she's actually a pretty good writer when she wants to be. i really like this song and i agree with slash_away_the_pain's opinion.

I guess the punk family really did sell. Every one likes to think everything done between the two bands was about kurt and courtney

Nobody can scream ‘FUCK YOU’ with the same powerful effect as Courtney. That’s the best part of the song and its perfectly fitting as well. Its already been said - the songs obviously about Frances being taken away from Courtney when the authorities were questioning her capabilities as a mother after the drug abuse accusations etc. so the song encapsulates the rage she felt at that point mixed with the effect of hormones after giving birth. Any girl knows hormones can bring out the worst anger ever but with Courtney it’s a thousand times worse. But at least she created some fuckin amazing music from her rage.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.

Midnight
Ed Sheeran
“Midnight” is a song about finding a love that is so true that it provides a calming feeling through every storm. Ed Sheeran reflects on his good fortunes in landing someone with such peace and support and speaks of not fearing the dark days because he knows they’ll all end in the safety nets of her arms. “Well, good morning there / What a way to start the day / With everything laid bare,” Ed Sheeran sings in the first verse, enthusiastic to be waking up beside his woman. He apologizes for missing her calls in the second verse and promises to return them because for him, speaking to her is the most important thing. “Well, I get lost inside my head / In this chaos, you’re my calm / And I will find my feet again / ‘Cause еven the worst days of my life will always еnd / At midnight in your arms,” sings Ed Sheeran in the chorus, revelling in his good luck.
