"Glass" as written by David Reeves, Darryl Matthews Mcdaniels, Joseph Ward Simmons, Dwayne Simon, Brandon Charles Boyd, Michael Aaron Einziger, Alex Katunich, Gavin Koppel and Jose Anthony Pasillas....
If I had a dime for every time you walked away,
I could afford to not give a shit
And buy a drink and drown the day
But your pockets, they are empty,
Yeah, and mine are times two
So why not make an about-face,
And accept the love I send to you?

You're never gonna be content if you font try,
Try to see outside your line.
There you go, you did it again!
You act as if there's binder on your eyes.
Should I apologize if what I say burns your ears and stains
Your eyes?!

Oh, did I crack your shell?
When it falls away, you'll see we exist as well!
Like a bottle with the cork stuck,
Your true ingredients trapped inside.

Through the cloudy glass we catch a glimpse of you,
I guess the hard shell represents your pride.
Oh, if only it could be different
We could uncover the you, you deny.

Between two, a small discrepancy,
One complicates and one simplifies.
Take those fucking blinders off your eyes!!
So if I had a dime for every time you walked away,
You could bet your bottom dollar that
I'd be filthy rich by noon today

General Commenti think this song just shows how stupid some people are when it comes to being open... a lot of people just dont understand that there is a lot more of everything outside from what they beileve and they cant accept that and allow for differences... i saw them play this is concert, i gotta say... it FUCKING ROCKED

General CommentYes, I think it is about someone who does not want to see the truth. "TAKE THOSE F*CKING BLINDERS OFF YOUR EYES!!" Means that they only believe what they want to believe.

General CommentSounds like someone who refuses to accept reality. They won't accept love or criticism, just live in a glass shell, sort of seperated from the world around them.

"Oh, did I crack your shell? When it falls away you'll see we exist as well!" Get out of that glass case and join the rest of the world. Learn to empathize. Don't live in a bubble, damn it!

General CommentI recieved a letter from a best friend/admirer about this song relating to our relationship and well heres what he wrote... "... this song (glass) basically sums up everything ive been wanting to say to you lately. im tired of you always walking away from a conversation like nothing. you cant pretend that what ive said will just go away. i just want you to know that you shouldnt push away your friend if theyre just trying to be honest with you cause everything moves in circles..." .. this is one of mine and my friends favorite songs because we can relate to it ...(ive always accepted the truth, i just never liked to give a response so id walk away when my firend got his act together and had the "balls" to tell me that he "cared" for me)

General CommentThis song is about ignorance..plain and simple. Brandon is obviously giving someone, whether it be a girl or not, some sort of signs that he digs her, and she's completley ignorant to it. This song is so close to home w/ me. Women, lol j/k ;) Awsome song, but then again - you wouldn't expect less from Brandon and the boys would you?

General CommentThis song means a lot to me, i really connected with it when i had a big fight with one of my close friends, this song described her perfectly, she just wouldn't listen to me, it was exactly as brandon says...she had 'blinders on her eyes'. i even sent this song to her to try and explain to her how i was feeling but it didnt do much good :(

ahh well, even though this song makes me think of her and makes me sad, it still rocks!

General CommentSomeone's trapped in this world in which they are being someone they arent. They wont get out of that hell hole and experience reality and enjoy the many wonderful things life has instore for them. Someone wants to "crack their shell" so they will see that they can be excepted in life as well as everyone else. This someone knows that this trapped person has a true self hidden inside this "shell". They have seen that they have the potential to be a great person. They dont want to hurt this person by saying this to them, but they know its needed because they only want to help them out and let them be themselves for a change.

General CommentThis song is about someone just like some of my friends. I like how it is harsh, but sympathetic on the person it describes, because, even though they are kinda immature and live in a bit of a fantasy world, ya gotta love 'em.
