"So. Central Rain" as written by and Patrick Buck Markus Binapfl....
Did you never call? I waited for your call
These rivers of suggestion are driving me away
The trees will bend, the cities wash away
The city on the river there is a girl without a dream

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry

Eastern to Mountain, third party call, the lines are down
The wise man built his words upon the rocks
But I'm not bound to follow suit
The trees will bend, the conversation's dimmed
Go build yourself another home, this choice isn't mine

I'm sorry, I'm sorry
Did you never call? I waited for your call
These rivers of suggestion are driving me away
The ocean sang, the conversation's dimmed
Go build yourself another dream, this choice isn't mine

I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry

General CommentGeographically, the giveaway is in the line "Eastern to Mountain, third party call". The phone call is made between the Eastern Time Zone (eg, Georgia) and the Mountain Time Zone (eg, New Mexico). The phone lines would thus run through Texas, which is the South-Central portion of the United States. A storm there ("south central rain") blocks the call, leading to some problems in the relationship.

A wise man in the Bible builds his house upon rocks so that water can't wash it away... this phone call is washed away by water... so the singer is unlike the wise man.
