I want to reach out and touch the sky
I want to touch the sun but I don't need to fly
I'm gonna climb up every mountain of the moon
And find the dish that ran away from the spoon

I've crossed the ocean, turned every bend
I found the crossing near a golden rainbow's end
I've been through magic and through life's reality
I've lived a thousand years and it never bothered me

Got no religion, don't need no friends
Got all I want and I don't need to pretend
Don't try to reach me, 'cause I'd tear up your mind
I've seen the future and I've left it behind

Supernaut = a play on the word psychonaut. Psychonaut (according to wikipedia.org) = A psychonaut (literally, an explorer of the psyche) is a person who uses psychoactive entheogens as guides, or means, to achieve inward spiritual experiences, and who reflects upon these experiences and applies them to his or her own life in a positive way, with the intent of bettering himself or herself. This is quite distinct from religious use, or social and leisure use of drugs, although invariably these overlap.

Love this tune so much, it's my text message tone on my cell phone. Just about 2 or 3 seconds of the beginning drum sound.

I agree with sentry in a way the lyrics are not always the only meaning in a song, often the instraments say alot more but if I only look at the lyrics I would say that its about a man that has all he wants in life and just wants to be left alone to expierience life on his own.

This song is ridiculous. From the lyrics to the amazing riff. The riff says to me, "I don't give a fvck, leave me alone!" The last two lines, or the entire song!, are unbelievable.

"Don't try to reach me 'cos I'll tear up your mind I've seen the future and I've left it behind"

one of my top 20 sabbath songs of all time! (that sounds like nothing but... realize there are about 60 good sabbath songs)

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
