you could be evicted
live your life restricted
sooner or later
so pay them what you owe
maybe then they'll let you go
sometime never

you could make a difference
deal with what's in front of you
you say it's gonna happen
you know it's gonna happen
you could make a difference
get up and make a stand
it's the way it makes me feel

the way I feel
there's nothing I can't do
and the way I feel
I'll follow you and see it through

you're acting like a prick
I think your head is made of brick
is there anyone in there?
you could make it happen
if you had the balls
but I think you're a coward

here today but gone tomorrow

General Commentbasically, this song is about not standing up for yourself when the government does something to you. so you just keep paying taxes and hope that they never do.

at least that's what i think it's about

General CommentSOme guy trying to convince his friend to do something about how the government is treating him, like the last guy said. Problem is that his friend is hesitant, so he eggs his friend on calling him a coward. That's how he's following his friend and seeing it through. Making him stand up for himself like a real friend does. Maybe the last line is a double meaning. You may be here today, but dealing with the government, you could be out in the streets tomorrow. Also, you're here today slacking and taking a beating today, but I swear that I'll get you up off your ass and we'll do something about this. This song is short and sweet.
