It's time to take it back, I'm taking what is mine

Me lo vas pagar
No murder, no murder
No murder, no murder
No murder, no murder

I realize that everything I want to be
Is everything that you once took away from me
Okay, I'm me
And I'm so fucked up inside and see
I don't care, what is it?
And every sin I have done

Right
What more can you put me through? What happened?
What do you, what do you want?
What more can you put me through? What happened
Inside?

I don't even care, I don't even mind
Everything you do will turn against you (against you)
I don't even care, I don't even mind
Everything you do will turn against you

No more, no more
No more, no
No more, no more
No more, me lo vas pagar

No murder, no murder
No murder, no murder
No murder, no murder

I realize that everything I want to be
Is who you are and all the things you are in me
And now I'm free
And you are living inside of me
I am your every sin
You're the reason something's not

Right
What more can you put me through? What happened?
What do you, what do you want?
What more can you put me through? What happened
Inside?

I don't even care, I don't even mind
Everything you do will turn against you (against you)
I don't even care, I don't even mind
Everything you do will turn against you (against you)
I don't even care, I don't even mind
Everything you do will turn against you (against you)

No more, no more
No more, no
No murder, no murder
No murder, no murder
What the fuck have I been through, what happened?

I'll explain the song the way I think its meant. The title says much, No Murder.... I may be wrong but here it goes:

The guy was being acused for probably an accident, maybe a fatal accident in which someone died and he was being charged for it. Maybe a friend of him died and they are charging him for reckless or drunk driving. Well it's just an example.

"It's time to take it back, I'm taking what is mine!" - He felt guilty and changed his life, but now he decides now to live again.

"Me lo vas debar! No murder! No murder! No murder!" - He says in spanish, you are going to owe me this, he's saying to the ones doing the acusations to him, "It was not a murder it was an accident, and for blaming me your going to pay".

"I realize that everything I want to be Is everything that you once took away from me" - His life was perfect before the accident, he has lived so much time in agony and wants his old life back, maybe he loved that person who died, it was his life, maybe hes saying "God, she was everything I wanted and needed, and you took her away from me" or probably his friends are blaming him and he lost his social life, self-steem or something he valued a lot.

"Okay, I'm me and I'm so fucked up inside And see I don't care - what is it? And every sin I have done, right?" - Someone who blames him is questioning him, maybe asking what happened, or just blaming him, and he answers back. "It's my problem I know im fucked up and I dont care, whatever my sin is you dont have the right to judge me."

"What more can you put me through? What happened? What do you, what do you want? What more can you put me through? What happened inside?" - He's asking why punish him if he has suffered enough already. What they win with sending him to jail or anything.

"No more! No more! No more! No! No more! No more! No more! Murder me lo vas a deber!!! No murder! No murder! No murder! " - Trial is over and hes saying finally no more of that, and those who want me down are the ones going down.

"I don't even care, I don't even mind Everything you do will turn against you [against you]" - "Blame me I dont care, you want something bad for me, probably you are the one who is going to get it".

"I realize that everything I want to be Is who you are and all the things you are in me And now I'm free and you are living inside of me I am your every sin You're the reason something's not right" - He wants to be someone without problems, Now he is, and the person who died is still living in his memories, that death of that person is the only thing thats not right in his life.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
