they are great for caring about it and speaking out about it too, they are a great band and this is one of my fav songs by them, the lyrics are pretty straightforward.
i love the end... cuz its like most of the song is directed to the beaten, but the rest it a warning to the beater and its great...
i wish i knew if there was a story behind this song cuz the end (hurt her again....) his voice just has a lot of feelling when he says it. it makes me think that he feels very serious about it.

311 is the definitive band, because they got the funky skeelz, but they hit real, real fabric of everything down to a T, i think theres some I.Q.'s topping out around 150 in the band, what yall think?
I really like the tone of the song. It is almost begging and pleading the person to stand up for themselves and take control of the situation. Very emotional and not something that usually gets talked about in popular music.
I believe that the statistic is 1 of every 4 women is physically or sexually abused in her lifetime. This is simply unacceptable. Men need to stand up and be men and admit that this happens and make a concious effort to stop it. Stop teaching our young boys to be violent. Stop the cycle of violence.

this song deffinately gets real personal everytime i listen to it. i see my girlfriend's ex far too much, and lets just say he fits the character in this song. Those last lines Nick says are exactly how i feel, and knowing this kid got away with this... i kinda hope he crosses me just once. he doesnt even know how much i wanna beat him down.
