    This song deserves more recognition! It's one of the best songs from the 80s, in my opinion. And no, I don't think that that's far-fetched.

    Best song about abuse i ever heard its very powerful i hope this song changed alot of lives tiffanys voice is powerful also but the message is clear anyone thats in abusive realtionship if you notice the sighns in this song and you have a chance to get out LEAVE , hitting and bruising isnt called love its abuse itnwont get better unless you conform to what they want and those are sometimes impossible demands control isnt love, you could argue that your being comprimising but its not a compromise if both parties belifes dont agree you dont change who you are for a person to love you you want them to love you for you notnwho they want you to be
