There's nothing in my art.
I'd rather be cool than be smart.
What I'm thinking of.
I'd rather be cool than be loved.

Here's what I feel,
ba ba ba ba.
Just want a girl
as cool as Kim Deal.

I thought that you were tough.
Well I've had it too, had it rough.
I don't care if I'm wrong,
'cause right always takes too long.

Here's what I feel
ba ba ba ba
Just want a girl
as cool as Kim Deal.

    General CommentIf anybody doesn't know:
Kim Deal was the bassist/vocalist with the legendary 'PIXIES' and then went on to form 'THE BREEDERS' (with Tanya Donnely of 'Throwing Muses' & 'Belly' fame)

General CommentI don't know guys. I think they're making fun of Kim Deal in this song. I don't this is a tribute to her coolness at all.

"I'd rather be cool than be smart."
"I don't care if I'm wrong, 'cause right always takes too long."
"I'd rather be cool than be loved."
    "There's nothing in my art."

All of these seem like insults.

She's stupid and trying to look cool.
She doesn't mind being wrong as long as she fits in and seems cool.
    She's a bitch.
    Her music has to substance.
