No me importa que se lleva
Porque todo se quitará
Ay no puedo verlo
Ni en pintura

Cuando empecemos, no me dio cuenta
De que luego, tuviera que pagar
Pero, se dice también
Me muera acostarme con ti
Con ti

No me propongo predicar
Vive y dejar vivir
Pero el amigo
Es un condón en el bolsillo

Yo no soy medico, no soy chapucero
Solamente soy pobre, y ya estoy tan solo
Pero sí se cambie
Ella seria la mia
Para ser poseído en propiedad
En propiedad

I've got to get alive with you
Whoa I cannot do?
I will lay down anytime with her
With her

I could be wrong, but I always thought that this and "chick on my tip" together contrast the upper middle class to the lower class. In "chick on my tip" he is an arrogant wealthy guy who is telling off the girl, while the poor mexican here wants to be with the same girl but can't afford it.

The chick is either a HO! or a girl he wants. Probably a whore. Yet he can't have her. He like to... He's not going to preach to her about being a Ho. But if he's going to take that trip... he going to strap with protection, or get strapped with a disease.

He holds out hope that some day, that she'll be his "property" and not her pimps of all those other guys.

    Could be wrong?

i think it's about a hooker that he actually has feelings for or is starting to like her as more. "When we began i did not realize, that afterwards, i would have to pay"...

I think this is about a girl he likes, but she doesn't like him. So instead of trying to impress her, he is saying that he's down to earth. Then right at the end, he explodes and basically says "I like you, what else can I say?"

wow..... great song.. I like spanish so much although I can't understand it .. and I even like it more and more when I listen Bradley singin it... yeah in my opinion too it's about a girl he likes and she's a ho but he doesn't like that.. he want's her to change but he can't do anything about that huh ? i like mostly the first line and this: pero si se cambie, me voy a acostarme con ti, con ti No me propongo predicar, vive y deja vivir

I hope the translation is right, cause I don't know spanish :)

I think it gives it away about the prostiution meaning when it says "I did not realize I would have to pay"

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
