Sometimes I feel I've got to run away
I've got to get away
From the pain you drive in the heart of me
The love we share seems to go nowhere
And I've lost my light
For I toss and turn, I can't sleep at night

Once I ran to you (I ran), now I run from you
This tainted love you've given
I'll give you all a boy could give you
Take my tears and that's not nearly all

Tainted love (oh-oh-oh)
Tainted love

Now I know I've got to run away
I've got to get away
You don't really want any more from me
To make things right
You need someone to hold you tight
And you'll think love is to pray
But I'm sorry I don't pray that way

Once I ran to you (I ran), now I run from you
This tainted love you've given
I'll give you all a boy could give you
Take my tears and that's not nearly all

Tainted love (oh-oh-oh)
Tainted love

Don't touch me please
I cannot stand the way you tease
I love you though you hurt me so
Now I'm gonna pack my things and go
Touch me, baby, tainted love
Touch me, baby, tainted love
Touch me, baby, tainted love
Touch me, baby, tainted love

Once I ran to you (I ran), now I run from you
This tainted love you've given
I'll give you all a boy could give you
Take my tears and that's not nearly all

Tainted love (oh-oh-oh)
Tainted love (oh-oh-oh)
Tainted love (oh-oh-oh)
Tainted love

This is a cover. I've heard the Soft Cell version, but I've heard that Soft Cell's version was also a cover.

HARRIS CAN GO FUCK, FIRST HE SAYS THAT HE LIKES BEATIFUL PEOPLE THEN HE ASKS SOME ONE TO NAME A GOOD SONG BY MARILYN MANSON, THICK FUCK, SECOND, NO HE DOSNT GO OUT WITH ROSE MCGOWAN HE BROKE UP WITH HER HE NOW DATES GLAMOUR FETISH MODEL, TESSA VAN TEESE OR SUMTHING LIKE THAT, I THINK THE SONG IS A BOUT A PROSTITUE, "THE LOVE WE SHARE SEEMS TO GO NO WHERE" YEAH BECAUSE IT ENDS WHEN SHE GETS OUT OF HIS CAR, TAINTED, MEANS SPOILT, AS IN THE LOVE IS SPOILT COS IT GOES NO FURTHER THAN A FUCK, THE BLOKE IN THE SONG HAS BECOME ATTACHED TO THE PROSTITUE BUT SHE SEES HIM AS ANOTHER PUNTER, AND NOW HES PISSED OF AND IS BREAKING FREE

The song was originally done to Depeche Mode, if anyone's interested, in the early 80's. Part of the reason that the song is so technoish and synthesized is a tongue and cheek laugh at the original 80's style of music (or something like that...he commented that he enjoyed doing Tainted Love because it showed his fans his "sense of humour" rarely shown...but then that could refer to the video, which is GREAT [the WASP'y cheerleaders ^_^ ] )

OK Who else thinks Marilyn Manson should make a cover out of Rock the Cashbah that would be an amazing song if he redid it.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
