i got a girl and her name is mary
i like to shock her on a basis daily
i'd like to push you over into my stream
i'd like to point out that her teeth are green

i'll tell you stories that you won't understand
i'll have you eating from the palm of my hand
i'm gonna push you further into my dream
the back of every head hold something obscene

ahhhhhahhhhhhahhhhhhahhhhh a ya yaa
ahhhhhahhhhhhahhhhhhahhhhh a ya yaa

i get the feeling you're not ordinary
i got a head like falling masonary
i'll cut your strings ah yes a puppet machine
i watch you drop and fall apart at the seams

i meant to get you let there be no doubt
you wanna try and get your teeth knocked out
i'm gonna push you further into my dream
the back of every head holds something obscene

ahhhhhahhhhhhahhhhhhahhhhh a ya yaa
ahhhhhahhhhhhahhhhhhahhhhh a ya yaa

ahhhhhahhhhhhahhhhhhahhhhh a ya yaa
ahhhhhahhhhhhahhhhhhahhhhh a ya yaa
ahhhhhahhhhhhahhhhhhahhhhh a ya yaa

Great song..Has anyone seen the video? If you think that the song has a creepy undertone, than the video looks like an episode of Tales from the Crypt. Did I mention that Gaz Coombes is the hottest frontman in the world?

    Memory

I hated this song when I first saw the video, I thought it was demonic. Then I saw them perform this song in concert, and it just lit the venue up. I loved it ever since. I always sing along with it now. Great song, with still a little demonic side to it

Dreamwalker
Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.

Somewhere Only We Know
Keane
Per the FAQ on Keane's website, Keane's drummer Richard Hughes, stated the following: "We've been asked whether "Somewhere Only We Know" is about a specific place, and Tim has been saying that, for him, or us as individuals, it might be about a geographical space, or a feeling; it can mean something individual to each person, and they can interpret it to a memory of theirs... It's perhaps more of a theme rather than a specific message... Feelings that may be universal, without necessarily being totally specific to us, or a place, or a time..." With the nostalgic sentiment and the overall tone of the song, I think Keane is attempting to express a Portuguese term known as 'saudade', which does not have a direct English translation but roughly means "that which we remember because it is gone."
