If your lookin' for trouble
I'm the man to see
If you're looking for satisfaction
There's satisfaction guaranteed
Oh, I was cool as a bunny on ice
Hotter than the rolling dice
Send you to heaven take you to hell
I ain't fooling can't you tell

I'm a live wire
I'm a live wire
I'm a live wire
Gonna set this town on fire

And if you need some lovin'
And if you need some man
You've got the phone and the number
And I got no future plans
Oh come on honey you've got nothing to lose
You've got the thirst
I've got the booze
Give you an inch
Take you a mile
I'm gonna make you fry
I'm a live wire
(Live wire)
I'm a live wire
(Live wire)
I'm a live wire
(Live wire)
Holy smoking sweet desire
Like a hot rod baby
Oh stick this in you're fuse box
Oh cooler than a buny on ice
Hotter than the rolling dice
Wilder than a drunken might
You're gonna burn to night

I'm a live wire
(Live wire)
I'ma live wire
(Live wire)
I'm a live wire
(Live wire)

And I'm gonna set this town of fire
Live wire
(Live wire)
I'm a live wire
(Live wire)
Oh I'm your live wire
(Live wire)

I'm a live wire (Live wire)
Look at me burn
Ah look at me, guilty
Soak my circuit
Burn burn burn burn burn

Ah a GREAT song. Bon sounds so good in this one. A strong beat, steady riff, clever lyrics. I can't really put my finger on what its about though... it makes sense in my head but probably won't when i try to write it... ha...

I think this song is about the 'live wire' in an electriucal circuit. There's three sorts of wires, neutral, earth and live. Live actually delivers the alternating current, which goes up and then dopwn. I think this going up and down of the voltage is the same as the opposite pairs in this song, troublesatisfaction, coolhot, heaven hell. Hope you get my point ;) cool song by the way.

Ok, so we all know wires are a very dangerous deal, you never know whether they are on or off, whether they are safe or deadly. Well, Live Wire is about a dangerous man that you'd never want to mess with. Thats the "Send you to heaven, take you to hell, I ain't follin', can't you tell" part. You f*ck with him and he will KILL you. But this dangerous man also has a soft spot for the ladies, he'd take advantage over any woman, get them drunk, and give them the ride (take you a mile). Point blank is, don't mess with him because he will mess you up.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.
