Let it be known, to all your misbelievin'
What you've been seein'
That we will not stand
Will not be mistaken
We'll go there leave this weakness
Don't take take this from me
We'll go there leave this weakness
'Cause I have been waiting

Lo we are not so we're on a mission
Lo we are not so we're on a mission

Damn this, damn that
There'll be no talk of turnin'-back
Damn this, damn that
There'll be no talk
That we might fly sometimes
We will find our own way
That we might fly sometimes
We will find our own

We are not so
We are not given
We are not sold on what we have seen

We're gone we're gone
The list is long we are many strong
The ceilings are coming down

In this song they're saying that they're "on a mission" to do and be what they want and it doesn't matter what other people think. Great song =) peace

i agree with them on a mission that needs to be completed. i do like what they say about "damn people talkin" and then say what they're gonna do. that's a tight attitude and yet another reason why i love dispatch!

dispatch kicks ass, and this is one of my favorite songs by them. also, even though they originated east coast, they need to make the transfer and come do stuff on west coast.

i think this song's about not stopping or tiring out when you have a purpose or some sort of "mission" as in this particular instense. yeah man, this song has a great attitude that gets you in that break stuff mood. and the guitar solo is a cool addittion too. not to mention the beat when he says, "we on a mission to be so well, oh well.........." that's awesome

I agree Katykabu........i thought he was saying Sold too.....does make more sense........dispatch4all i know exactly what your talking about with the beat.......its insane.....makes me wanna nod my head.......and BREAK stuff........the beats of Dispatch's songs are so fluid they blow my mind........I hope they never get popular.......because they are my little secret(at least around here)

Dispatch basically saying they won't sell out, they're going to be stron artists, and break the mold. Cool song, Dispatch's my fave.

Definitely was 'sold' not 'so'..great song except who knows what their mission really is.. we just know they arent gonna stray from it or sell out. The only indication of what it is is when they say "on a mission to be so well"..it's possible they are just referring to their music and that they will not become like anybody else..or possibly their mission is somethin deeper..we will never know.

this song is so awesome. i also think it was "we are not sold". i think that its about not being bought off or conforming the what everyone else wants you to do, but to go and do what ever you believe in or whatever your "mission". such a good song.

I think their playing off the Blues Brothers...

Most of their music has a rather godly message to it, maybe. And the Blues Brothers were "on a mission from GOD".

I could be right, I could be wrong but at least I am not in the middle.

Cajun Girl
Little Feat
Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
