Feeling the time peel away at my life again
As memories combine, not sure where I've never been
'Cause it's the 'D' in Detroit which scares me to no end
I'll count to ten
When living this down makes so much sense.
We collide and onward we do fly
We collide and onward we do fly
Onward until we meet again
I kept your picture just behind the eye
Those weeks when our distance grew
Drove north where I found you waiting in Des Moines
Thank god i'm not losing you
And girl I hope you're not alone and sleep through this weather
And girl I hope you're whole again
back home we'll sleep better.
We collide and onward we do fly
We collide and onward we do fly

I kept your picture just behind the eye
Those weeks when our distance grew
Drove north where i found you waiting in Des Moines
Thank god I'm not losing you
And girl I hope you're not alone and sleep through this weather
And girl i hope you're whole again, back home we'll sleep better.

any song by the anniversary is of course going to be awesome and unique, but this is the first one that drew my attention to them. the title may throw some people off into thinking that its more of a goofy type song but actually its pretty deep

This is the first song I ever liked by The Anniversary!! It's still one of my favorites!! They kick ass in concert!! I love the title of it too :-) haha Of course they had to play this song at St. Andrew's in Detroit!! Anyways... it's a sad song, but I love it! Especially "I kept your picture just behind the eye those weeks when our distance grew"

this is great...just plain great. I really like the last part..."girl i hope youre not alone and sleep through this weather and girl i hope youre whole again, back home we'll sleep better." those are just great lyrics.

yeh this song really is beautifully poetic and emo. the first 4 songs of this album just go together so well and i think this is a wonderful climax to that progression. of course the whole album is 10 deep and i love all the songs, but this little ditty about love and separation stands out.

I love the Anniversary, but i recently heard that they broke up. I wish they would get their act together because they made amazing music. this is one of my favorite songs, and the first song i ever heard by them. I saw them in concert a couple years ago with dashboard confessional, and ben kweller...amazing show.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Magical
Ed Sheeran
How would you describe the feeling of being in love? For Ed Sheeran, the word is “Magical.” in HIS three-minute album opener, he makes an attempt to capture the beauty and delicacy of true love with words. He describes the magic of it all over a bright Pop song produced by Aaron Dessner.

American Town
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran shares a short story of reconnecting with an old flame on “American Town.” The track is about a holiday Ed Sheeran spends with his countrywoman who resides in America. The two are back together after a long period apart, and get around to enjoying a bunch of fun activities while rekindling the flames of their romance.

Page
Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
