La Pared (Govt. Wall Blues) Lyrics

Many many tears from now
Break them walls, tear them down
They built it tall right through your park
Any any day from now

In Berlin of ‘61, the wall was built to fall
In Berlin of ‘89, that wall was made to fall

Across the world repeated
So many times we've seen it
Against the wall so near it
So close that you can feel it

Bring me a hammer, I'll show you
How this will end
Steal me a shovel my love
Like you did in Berlin

Many many tears from now
Many many years from now
Many many tears from now
This wall will be no more

Hey you in the window
You’re so frightened you’re standing still
Hey you in the window
You’re so frightened you’re standing still

Across the world repeated
So many times we've seen it
Against the wall so near it
So close that you can feel it

Well I know this in my mind
‘Cause I’ve seen it all the time
You can build this wall of hate
But we’ll never separate

Cover art for La Pared (Govt. Wall Blues) lyrics by Black Angels, The

I think this is a song about societies that are undergoing divide and conquer. This happened in Germany, as well as it has happened during COVID Times. Societies were separated in the those followed the call for solidarity (like the Nazis did when they got control) and the others who criticized and were called conspiracy theorists. These walls are not build to last!
